Mayor Broderick Announces Limited Opening of Grandview Golf Course

 Edgewater Parks Disc Golf Facility 

            Mayor Thomas Broderick, Jr. today announced the limited re-opening of Grandview Golf Course beginning Saturday, May 23.  The course will be available for play between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. each day, weather permitting.  Tee times should be booked by calling 765-648-6880.

            “We are happy to announce this limited re-opening of Grandview Golf Course,” said Mayor Broderick.  “We want to thank all of our loyal players for their patience during this difficult time while we worked together to keep everyone in our community safe.”

             Mayor Broderick also announced the re-opening of Edgewater Park for Disc Golf at the Sanders Memorial Disc Golf Course.

            The re-openings are limited re-openings in that procedures have been implemented to continue to ensure the safety of the players and the staff.  The following restrictions will be in effect until further notice for Grandview:

  • No Cash transactions. Credit/Debit cards only
  • Practice social distancing
  • Tee times are 12-15 minutes apart
  • Book Tee Times in advance by calling 765-648-6880.
  • Do not remove or touch flag stick
  • Repair sand traps with feet (no rakes)
  • Do not use ball washers
  • Do not remove cup guards
  • Players may use individual golf carts if requested, for no additional charge
  • Carts are subject to availability
  • Pro-Shop limited to 4 customers at a time, maintain social distancing while inside.

Mask wearing is recommended at both venues and participants should utilize social distancing practices.  No one who is or has recently been sick should participate. Mayor Broderick said park department personnel are working to allow for the reopening of basketball courts per the guidelines of the Governor.  Broderick stated, all trails remain open.

Playground equipment remained closed at this time, as well as restroom facilities in the individual parks, except for the restrooms at the Grandview Pro Shop.

The restaurant at Grandview will remain closed at this time.

Soda pop, water and light snacks are available for purchase.  No alcoholic beverage will be sold on the premises at this time.
