Overview

The Historic and Cultural Preservation Commission is a seven-member board appointed by the mayor, Planning Commission, and Common Council. They are responsible for making appropriate recommendations to physical restorations and the rehabilitation of the structures located within the west central historic district, west Eighth Street historic district, and for the individual sites throughout Anderson.

Special meetings may be scheduled and are announced in the local newspaper. For more information about the districts, view our resident's guide. For information regarding the Historic and Cultural Preservation Commission, please call Todd Fisher, staff person for the commission, at 765-648-6057.
