Zoning and Development
The Zoning and Development Division is one of four divisions that make up the Department of Municipal Development.
We promote excellence in planning, building, and development. We encourage public collaboration and engage best management practices and methods to ensure public safety, environmental protection, and quality architectural design in the City of Anderson Indiana.
Our Services
- Develop and monitor implementation of long-range comprehensive plan.
- Enforce neighborhood and area plans.
- Provide site review and plat review.
- Provide Staff Reports and pertinent documents to the Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, and City Council.
- Administer the zoning ordinance, subdivision ordinance, signage ordinance, and other regulations relating to land development and use.
- Provide improvement location permits and signage permits.
