Why Support the Anderson Municipal Airport (AID)?
- Anderson Municipal Airport is a significant contributor to the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS):
- A system of airports and aviation facilities that is significant to national air transportation
- About 3,300 airports strong
- Entry requires meeting national benefit to cost analysis criteria
- General Aviation (GA) airports such as the Anderson Municipal Airport contributes over $150 billion to the national economy.
- Anderson Municipal Airport is also a significant contributor to the Indiana State Aviation System Plan (ISASP), and more importantly, to the local community.
- AID equates to jobs, revenue, market, growth
- Over 40 people employed at the airport
- Over $200,000 lease and product sales revenue
- Regionally draws outside money, in the use of local goods and services and excise tax returns
- Capital development supported by the FAA AIP program, which generated over $5 million in the past four years; a community investment return of $30 for each $1 invested
- Increase in the assets of the airport and marketability

Anderson Airport Support Group (AASG)
The AASG was formed in January of 2007 to:
- Promote the Value of the Airport to the City and the City Government
- Help attract business & businesses to the airport
- Help make the airport financially self sufficient
- Help fend off threats to the airport
- Represent the interests of the airport tenants
