Anderson Municipal Airport Celebrates 50 Years
The Anderson Municipal Airport is celebrating 50 years! The day takes flight at 7:00 am EDT with hot air balloon rides, a pancake breakfast benefiting Youth for Christ (7-11), radio-controlled aircraft, boy scout events, Presenting of Colors by the Civil Air Patrol, showcase of aircraft, Mike Melvill recognition (previous member of local EAA Chapter 226), Hot dog & Hamburger cook-out benefiting Indiana State University Flight Team, possible Aircraft including: Pitts, Extra 300, P-51 Mustang, ReMax Hot-Air Balloon, PT-26, BT-13, gliders, Corsair, and misc. military aircraft. Aircraft parking is free. General car admission we ask for $5 donation to benefit local EAA Chapter and other volunteer aviation groups. Please save the date for what promises to be an awesome event!
